The Elmet Trust is a charity, based in Mytholmroyd, celebrating the life and works of the late Poet Laureate Ted Hughes.  The site, completed at the end of 2008, has been built using an open source (free) content management system written in PHP.

The content management system was chosen for its simplicity and ease of use enabling administrators with very limited IT knowledge and experience to maintain the site.

Our challenge was to embrace the life and works of Ted Hughes in the aesthetics of the site, whilst still ensuring the audience could navigate the site and find information quickly.

The site has been considered a resounding success, although we do need to keep reminding the Elmet Trust administrator to keep her events section up to date!
